What would it really take? Probably a small Linux utility to generate
the right keys and then a BIOS utility to import them off a USB drive,
much like my ASUS motherboard BIOS reads BIOS updates.
I'm not too worried at this point.
I understand why Microsoft wants to do this, and it makes sense - for them.
It could create a new class of workstations for business which come with
this UEFI feature in the BIOS much like the TPM chips while regular
grey-box systems don't get it. I could see this as an option businesses
would pay for.
