Fortunately, there *is* a nascent Toronto Ubuntu group.  I recommend
starting an Ubuntu Hour so you can get together with other Toronto
Ubuntu people.  Folks like Sammy Lao of Free Geek Toronto and Michael
Kaulbach, who's hosted the last few Toronto release parties.  Also,
Linuxcaffe is thrilled to have Ubuntu people meet up there. :D

There's also a distro-agnostic GTALUG that meets monthly. You should
join them too: http://gtalug.org/wiki/Main_Page

I hear ya.  I wouldn't be on it if I didn't feel it was part of the
job.  We'll post minutes to the mailing list.  You're welcome to
respond or contribute from here.  It's no less valued.
