LOL understandable and it is the same reasons I switch to Ubuntu.

At the end of the day, anyone (MS or Apple) can try to copy Ubuntu or any Linux distribution, what will count is how good the system is.

Yes at this time, Cannonical and Ubuntu team have been doing a great job in creating and maintaining a great OS and its supporting softwares, whilst the products are provided FREE for anyone.

At the same time MS and Apple will do anything they could to keep their existing market shares. So what they will have to do is to be one step better than everyone else including Ubuntu.

Having said that, we cannot get too comfortable with what we have. We, as a community, have to work together to keep pushing the boundaries to separate us from the pack.

Let them do and copy what they
want. We just have to make sure that we just have to keep Ubuntu better each release.

I am not trying to open a can of worms, flame etc, but
I changed to Ubuntu to get away from Microsoft (aka: put another dollar in)
I also use Windows Pro and 7, But, it bothers me that Microsoft has anything to do with anything Free.
Microsoft's past speak volumes to how they behave.
As far as I am concerned they are out to get Free Removed from our vocabulary.

I have said too much already.
My signature say's it all.
Freedom to Choose.
It should also read Supplying FREE Technology to At Risk Students.

And thats my rant hopfully for the year.

Chris.
