cant find server

Hi all, another one of my daughters in Sherbrooke QC. had Ubuntu installed
on her laptop this week end and she tried connecting direct and through a
Bell supplied router at home and she keeps getting " firefox can't find the
server" The wireless icon says Bell 193 active and Bell193 (30%) They are
using DSL. Any ideas?
