Linux pusher Vol 80, Issue 4

It would be nice to have one or more Linux-based computers available
to the public or customers of a business for Internet access or
general use. In Toronto, there is Linuxcaffe. In Ottawa, there is
(was?) the laptop that I set up at the Umi Cafe on Somerset. With
plenty of older computers being discarded by corporations, there is no
shortage of hardware out there. We'd have to make it easy to maintain
and ensure that a pirate version of Windows is not installed, but I
believe that it could be done.

Some likely locations:
Coffee shops where wifi is available, but no in-house computer (or
computers with the usual Windows maintenance burden).
Stores with environmental tendencies, especially if connected with
food service.
Employment and community resource centres (immigrants, friendship
centres, etc.).
