Gimp in Microsoft office 2003

Hi all,

I was using Crossover and Wine to try loading Microsoft Picture Manager (I
bought it many years ago) to my moms computer.

I was having issues so I started digging into the files on Microsoft works
suite 2004 Disk 1.
To be a little more descriptive: msworks/common/msshared/grphflt
Imagine my surprise at finding "Gimp" licensed under Microsoft?

Does anyone else have knowledge of this?
Who made Gimp?
