search old mail by subject help please

You can use google. Just put in what you are searching for, followed
by site:https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-ca. So if you want to
search how to connect your ipod to amarok, you could try typing this in
google

amarok ipod site:https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-ca
