Updates crashed 3 Edubuntu desktop

I've had similar problems and I've attributed my problems to the power supply. I have a machine with three hard disks in it as well as a DVD, audio and video boards. Sometimes there just isn't enough power to light everything up. I occasionally have to disconnect all USB devices and a fan just to get it to start properly. Try a higher wattage power supply, something larger than 650 watts even. Most typical power supply's are 450 or 500. Also make sure everything inside is clean. Blow out the dust.
