I don't want to burden you guys with administrative overhead, but it
will help people find the as the Ubuntu community people are pushing
the LD more and more.  And after the initial set-up, you can just copy
the event forward every month.  (No recurring events yet,
unfortunately).

Selfish motive: it helps us when we're preparing the monthly report to
have event details in one place. :)
