If I am not mistaken many Dell Motherboards are not equipped with sensors for monitoring things like temperatures, however, there should be something for fans at least I would think.

Daniel, doing a"cat"? I tried the info in a terminal but no such file. This is probably very basic stuff for you but I need REALLY basic!  Thanks,  Ray

For example, on my old Dell laptop, I can access the internal

temperature by doing (from the terminal) a "cat" of this file:

   /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM/temperature
