Hosting a release party

A few intrepid freedom fighters at Kwartzlab (http://kwartzlab.ca) are
banding together to counter plans for an upcoming Windows 7 release
party.

I know LoCos get Ubuntu release party packs, but Canada is a big
place. Is there any support for people willing to host small, local
parties? CDs and stickers would be kind of fun, but even just a
little bit of official sanction and a "how to host a release party"
FAQ would help.

It's early days, but we could have anywhere between 5 and 30 people,
probably, depending on how much we can get the local LUG involved.

Darcy.
