ubuntu help!

Hey,I found your name on the LoCo Team list, and I really don't know much
about LoCo teams, so if I shouldn't be contacting you about this, PLEASE
forgive me!

Basically, I'm not THAT computer literate, but I've been using ubuntu on my
desktop with much success for a couple years now, and i just installed it on
my laptop and it's been AWFUL and basically, I just need to find someone who
will take my laptop, and just fix it for me!  I go to UVic, and according to
your link on the LoCo team thing, you're 1st year geography at
Camosun.....soooo......might you be able to help me? Or get me in contact
with someone who can?  I've done a lot of googling and
self-diagnosis.....but all to no avail! Please help!
