Anybody upgrade yet?

Did a clean install of the 9.10 RC on the weekend. So far so good -
nVidia drivers are definitely improved as is overall performance. Had a
bit of an issue getting the comp to recognize a camera card mounted in
the appropriate slot on my MFC, but a reboot of the printer fixed that
up quickly. Things that are not so good - Empathy - blehh... in order
to get Pidgin to run I had to uninstall Empathy first, reboot then
install Pidgin. Happily it works fine after that. Other funkiness -
Update manager seemed to miss about 110 megs of updates until I ran it
from the admin menu. Not certain what that was all about but I will keep
my eye on it.

All in all considering this is a P3 700 mhz with 512 megs of RAM (plus
256 meg video card...) pumping a 21 inch NEC monitor 9.10 is performing
quite well and definitely an improvement over Jaundiced Jackalope...

Have yet to get a working connection with Ubuntu One though. With this release i've dropped the Netbook Remix launcher in favour of the standard desktop. Overall, very satisfied.

The new software was downloaded in less than 20 minutes and then the installation of it took about an hour. After a restart, which was very quick, everything was up and running as expected. I signed up for the free Ubuntu One. I put some files up there...Meh. Just another Google documents if you ask me. Not sure if I like Empathy yet. The thing I like about Pidgen is that it tells me when I have mail. Unless there is a plugin for Empathy that does that I won't be switching over to it.

It asks me to confirm all of my users, so a dialog opens for each user. Pain in the ass to clear. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but it seems my Firefox doesn't work with Youtube. I have Chrome installed and it doesn't work either, so I'm sure its just a plugin issue.
