What should I do?

I bought a web cam for my wife to use with Ubuntu. She badly wants one
to use with a site called singsnap. So, I went over to The Source and
purchased at Nexxtech web cam.

I thought because it was a generic USB web cam it would work fine out
of the box, but it did not work at all. Flash would not recognize it,
ekiga would recognize it as a CIF PC Cam, but displays nothing. Going
to google only made things worse. All I found were several other people
asking how to get it working, with no answers and a guy using this as an
example why not to switch to Ubuntu from Windows.

So, what should do? Should I try to return it to The Source and try to
find one that does work with Ubuntu? Id that is the suggestion do
people know if The Source will take a return on an opened product? Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
