Hi Victor.

Have you tried it using another user account? If the problem doesn't
occur, that would go a ways toward isolating the cause. Years ago, I
had a computer that would do worse than crawl when I started an
earlier version of OOo. When that never happened with another account,
the search got easier. Eventually I found a huge discrepancy in the
size of the pspfontcache file (or whatever the filename was) and
solved it by nuking that bloated file. Not your problem, but a good
trick to try nonetheless, as it pointed to something user specific.
