Jaunty WIFI issues

Recently my laptop has decided to drop my wifi connection, typically
during large data transfers.

Dmesg error:  
wlan0: No ProbeResp from current AP 00:1e:e5:4a:98:cf - assume out of
range

System info:
HP Pavillion Laptop.
Jaunty 9.04 (2.6.28-15-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP x86_64)
I performed an upgrade recently from 8.10, wich I think is the cause of
my recent issues.

wifi:
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network
Connection (rev 61)

Can I hope the next kernel around the corner will resolve this?
