Hi,

I have an Aspire One running netbook without an issue

And I have a Toshiba running 64 bit, and yes Flash is an issue, but it is
inconsistent, sometimes it works and sometimes not.

Next is my media server, will do that probably next weekend.

Well everyone, its been a few days. Has anyone upgraded to 9.04 yet, if so
what has your experience been like so far?

I've had both a good and not so good experience so far.

I upgraded an old Dell Inspiron laptop to the pre-release version and it had
absolutely no problems. It now boots faster and runs well.

I attempted to upgrade my Desktop, which is a 64-bit AMD dual-core with an
ATI X1600 video card. It wasn't a good experience. The freely available
ATI drivers dropped support for this video card, therefore after the
successfull upgrade my display was very very slow. I searched for
resolutions and tried several things to no avail. By the end of my attempts
my xorg.conf file was so unrecognizable that I just gave up on it. I
performed a backup of my home directory then re-installed from scratch.

After the fresh install everything was working perfectly. The speed of my
display was fine so I performed my restore. Everything was fine until I
started to notice that features of my Firefox seemed strange. No Flash was
working so I attempted to install the plugin. It kept failing regardeless
of which one I attempted to install. Then for some unknown reason the
scrolling in Firefox got real "choppy". I didn't know what I did to cause
that, so I just re-installed once again.

One good thing about all of this is that I am getting better at setting up
my printer/scanner and CUPS server!
