Hi,

You should avoid downloading directly and rather use the  Synaptic 
Package Manager to install new software. This would ensure that all 
dependencies are satisfied.  I suggest that you delete the downloaded 
epiphany and

1. Launch Synaptic Package Manager  (System -> Administration -> 
Synaptic Package Manager)
2. Search for 'epiphany'
3. Select epiphany-browser, epiphany-browser-data, epiphany-extensions
4. Click on Apply
