Hi I Downloaded Rosegarden, and Jack and did the setup of Jack. Then
when I started Rosegarden, it says that the rtc timer is not good enough
to play midi with. It suggests a modprobe snd_rtctimer before starting
Rosegarden, trouble is there is no snd_rtctimer, not even in synaptic. I
didn't want to install Ubuntu Studio, just wanted to get a bit more
familiar with Rosegarden, and how to use it. Ubuntu has no page on
snd_rtctimer. Anyone know a fix for this?
I was downloading late at night and downloaded Gnome Reset. The Confuser
was left on for about an hour after the download finished. Next day when
I turned it on the hard drive was doing all kinds of stuff and the Modem
was doing something, not normal. So I turned the modem off, and did a
Virus Check, two sets of Gnome Reset had downloaded, one was OK, but the
other was a VIRUS, that does a Phishing Scam. Uses a Key-logger, to get
all kinds of facts off my Computer. This was not from an Email, but from
one of the repositories, here in America. ClamTK found it and another
file, and I deleted these, and that got rid of this VIRUS. Why was it
that Files can no longer be Authenticated for downloading?
I tried to use my Scanner that worked well in 7.10, but it is no longer
working in 8.10. An HP Scanjet 5p (A SCSI Scanner). Any fix for this?
I a bit short on time, so that's why I lump it all together into one
Email.
Alfred!
