Note that if you are using a USB scanner that there is a bug in the current
ehci_hcd USB 2.0 driver in the Ubuntu Intrepid kernel. Many people have to
unload the driver to get things to work:
sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd
It will work after that but slower due to the slower ohci_hcd driver having
to do all the work. This may or may not be an option for some depending
what other peripherals they have that need the highspeed USB driver.
