Geany is pretty good. Still in development but so far it's my fav. My
biggest beef with it is it doesn't have an "Open from FTP" type feature
which forces you to mount remote file systems. It also isn't the
easiest to modify colors (done in a flat file per filetype which is
kinda lame).
For everything else it fits the bill.
