Ubuntu 7.10 on Dell

Well, so far Ubuntu on Dell is a bust in Canada. I went to the Dell
website and built two systems, keeping all specs the same, if
possible. Look at the comparable specs for the laptops below. The
Ubuntu one is still 130.00 more!!! And there is no modem, probably
because the modem driver causes problems with the sound. When Dell
introduced Ubuntu in the US, they quickly dropped the price to a
little below the Vista machine. Looks like that might not be going to
happen here.
