Camera/Picture sorting Software

hello...
have you looked at F-Spot Photo Manager? It is installed by default in
Ubuntu under graphics. I have used it successfully with my old Kodak
digital, importing images directly, or via other software, then into the
manager. It contains a feature Edit>Adjust time... which allows you to
assign any date to your imported images. You can also add sorting tags
during import, or after. I think it also has the ability to upload
images to Flickr, and several other online services.
