Feisty screen resolution problem

Hello -- Need help with adjusting screen resolution. Someone (that would be
Patrick at the Linuxcaffe Ubuntu users meeting about six meetings ago)
helped me adjust it for Edgy, but I forgot what the adjustment was.  Nothing
I've read and tried so far for Feisty is working -- everything remains
squished.  Anyone know what I need to do?  (Patrick, are you out there?)
