PS  If you're nervous, you can keep your Windows too -- just give Ubuntu 
a try using your downloaded Live CD, and then, if you like what you see, 
use the same CD to install Ubuntu and set up your computer to dual boot 
-- Windows or Ubuntu -- your choice on start up.  Enjoy!
