so this is a little update just so people know where i'm at-- i'm sure
you biting your nails all day ;-)

dvd playback is good and java is up and running (thanks to brian)

the rest of my day has been spent downloading themes and procrastinating
all the other stuff (computer and non-computer) that i have to do.

i was checking out art.gnome.org (i think) for themes, they have some
good ones-- are there any other great theme places?
