Installation problem

This happen to one of my friends, we check everything and apparently his
drive was dead. Format stop at a randon state. After that, if it pass
the formating, it also crash within the copying file.
try to use the Ultimate Boot CD to build the partition before trying to
install, or use another Linux installer to, at least, create and format
the partition. This way you will not have to use the Ubuntu partition tools.
