Trouble with Base Install on PC

It sounds to me like you have a bad CD.  Is this an official CD or did you 
burn it yourself?  If you burned it yourself, i'd suggest checking the 
md5sum of the iso, and then reburning the cd if that checks out okay.  If 
you need any help doing that please let me know.
