If its Bell Sympatico High Speed, it uses pppoe. So run  sudo pppoeconf  in 
a console and enter your sympatico login (b1********) and password. Answer 
the default answer for the other questions. After that you don't need to do 
anything. It logs on automatically at boot. I use Symaptico and it worked 
for me.
