I agree the wiki is not a great place for news. 
Lets stick with the main site for news.

Everything on the mainsite will be updated tonight when I get home from work.

I also like the idea of having ubuntu-ca.org being a front page with links
to both English and French versions of what is now our existing site 
similar in style to Canadian government website here: http://www.canada.gc.ca/
