Public bug reported:
This anomaly concerns interoperability between wodim and audacity. The
Audacity side of this has been reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/audacity/+bug/1852936
Wodim needs better documentation. To say "MSB left, LSB left, MSB
right, LSB right, MSB left and so on. The track should be a multiple of
2352 bytes" is academically interesting but not much help for the end
user who needs to know how to make the input conform to that spec. More
language is needed: is this big endian or little endian? In particular,
it would be useful if the requirements were phrased in a way that the
user can fill out these fields:
http://www.jeanphilippepernin.net/ressources/3.%20traitement%20des%20medias/4.%20traitement%20du%20son/documents/manual/man/custom_ffmpeg_export.html
A codec suggestion would perhaps settle the endianness matter.
** Affects: cdrkit (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
