Hi,
some corrections to my previous mail:
i wrote:

growisofs formats BD-R by default but also can keep them
unformatted if its undocumented option
-use-the-force-luke=spare=none
is used and the medium is not yet formatted. In this case it
is supposed to burn with full nominal speed.
(cdrskin and xorriso are supposed not to format by default,
but only if options like cdrskin's blank=format_if_needed are used.)

Should have been:
The xorriso-written BD-R reports a range up to block 11826175.
(That's 11826176 blocks from 0 to 11826175.)
Have a nice day :)
