Ok, sorry to resurrect such an old bug, but I'm still seeing this issue
in Brasero, as of today (9-13-14) on an install of Ubuntu 14.04. Is
there anything I can do to help track this down? This has been
frustrating me for the past 4 hours as to why I can't burn a video file
onto a DVD so my parents can watch it on their TV...

I've tried every suggestion in this thread, and there was no change in
the behavior of the program, though everything that was suggested to
install was already in the system. I tried deinstallign and reinstalling
jsut to be sure, but no dice.
