This report has been open over a year and Still has not had Ubuntu
maintainer involvement to escalate the issue on one of the DEFAULT apps
in Ubuntu and Gnome.

Shameful and very revealing!

Note to newbies, xfburn is the 'lightweight alternative' package used by
Xubuntu, Lubuntu and other downstream derivative distros.
