I have the same issue with brasero not ejecting CD's or DVD's after
burning; other apps will eject (e.g. Ruby Ripper).
With no CD or DVD inserted, my CD/DVD drive as listed from 'sudo lshw | less' is:
*-cdrom
description: DVD-RAM writer
product: CDDVDW SN-208AB
vendor: TSSTcorp
physical id: 1
bus info: scsi at 2:0.0.0
logical name: /dev/cdrom
logical name: /dev/cdrw
logical name: /dev/dvd
logical name: /dev/dvdrw
logical name: /dev/sr0
version: TC00
capabilities: removable audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r dvd-ram
configuration: ansiversion=5 status=nodisc
