Thanks a lot for reporting this, however I am unable to reproduce the
behaviour you describe. In my test, I was successfully able to create an
ISO file using Brasero. Steps to reproduce:

1) Open Brasero and start a new data project
2) Add any number of test files to the project. I added a single PDF for this test.
3) Click 'Burn'.
4) Choose directory in which to save the ISO.

Done. Can you please verify that this is not a problem with your
installation of Brasero? What you should do is uninstall Brasero using

sudo apt-get purge brasero

This will not only remove Brasero, but completely wipe out any trace of
it on your system from the point of view of the package manager. Then
simply reinstall it using

sudo apt-get install brasero

Once this is done, please attempt to burn an ISO and report back.
