I have to add that I was watching an .avi movie via SMPlayer while burning the disc.
I have burned the 3rd disk without verification, and
when I paused the movie, I heard the k3b's trumpet jubilation.

OTOH, I did pause the movie first time after the writing was complete,
the second time before it was complete, and k3b hanged.

It did not hang the 3rd time (burning with no verification), although
I was watching the movie.

Maybe, busy audio does not affect the k3b behaviour, or maybe it does.
At least, it could, but should not.
