[Bug 543883] [NEW] System freezes when inserting any CD/DVD

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Whether I inset a Data CD, a Music CD, or a Movie DVD or Data DVD, the
entire system freezes and I have to turn off my computer in order to
reboot. This happens with Ubuntu 9.04, 9.10, and 10.04. I have a quad-
core intel with 3 gigs RAM and 1TB HDD pationed correctly. This does NOT
happen with 8.04 or 8.10. My DVD is a HL-DT-ST-DVD-RAM GH22LP20 DL
Burner.

It sure would be nice if this bug could be fixed after 2 years!
