"icedax" is a fork from an extremely old cdda2wav version (aprox, 5
Years old).

The original software meanwhile has undergone massive bug fixes and 
development. Try ti replace "cdrkit" by recent original software:

ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/alpha/ 
http://cdrecord.berlios.de/ 

and test again.
