Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: brasero
One of two errors happen when trying to blank a disk:
1) Brasero reports that the blanking was successful and ejects the CD. At reinsertion, user finds that the CD is not blanked.
2) If "Fast blanking" is checked, the error "Unknown error" is displayed
Media is a DVD-R
Device is unknown (when using wodim*), but I think it's a SATA DVD-RW
drive
*$ wodim --devices
wodim: No such file or directory.
Cannot open SCSI driver!
For possible targets try 'wodim --devices' or 'wodim -scanbus'.
For possible transport specifiers try 'wodim dev=help'.
For IDE/ATAPI devices configuration, see the file README.ATAPI.setup from
the wodim documentation.
Device list from hwinfo get stuck on the Optical drive
$ hwinfo
> block.5.1: /dev/sr0 cache
But then output the following concerning the Optical drive:
57: SCSI 100.0: 10602 CD-ROM (DVD)
