[Bug 405544] [NEW] unable to burn CD or DVD with Brasero with 2.6.31 kernel

Binary package hint: brasero

when using the 2.6.31 linux kernels Brasero does not recognize any blank
media.

sudo lshw -short shows that my dvd writer is:
