On a Gateway MX6440 note that I have PA49 version of the firmware. I
have burned DVDs and CDs in the past on this machine... I think it would
have been in the days of the 7.x series of Ubuntu. It will fail after a
certain point in the burning... normally its 75% or more in but it has
occurred at under 5%. The disks are fine, and disks from the same
package, and even the same disk (+RWs) will burn just find in my desktop
with a BENQ DW1620.
Please let me know what other information I can provide you with to help
get this issue resolved.
