Public bug reported:

Using Hardy Heron 2.6.24-21-generic #1 SMP Tue Oct 21 23:09:30 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux on AMD64X2 PC. Brasero version 0.8.1.
I'm using DVD-RW 4x compatible media. The DVD has an old ISO on it and I wish to erase and burn a new ISO file to it. The old ISO was 1.4Gb prior to deletion. I select Burn Image, the ISO on my Desktop, and the program asks me whether I want to erase the old disk. I accept and the disk starts to be erased. I then get an error that there is insufficient space on the disk (see brasero-error.png screenshot). The disk is ejected with the error displayed and the 'erasing' message is still active. I close the brasero windows an program. Start to report this bug and close drive with DVD still inserted. Run up brasero again to check version and try to run again to check messages. When selecting Burn Image I get a new error occur (see Screenshot-Image Burning Setup.png) - "the media is not writable with the current set of plugins".
Drive is a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S202J PATA.

** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
