[Bug 253472] [NEW] k3b freezes at 50% while recording mp3 files

Prior to installing Ubuntu 8.04, I had Gutsy ubuntu 7.10. in those days
I recorded mp3 files using cd/dvd creator. That is no longer an option
since cd/dvd creator doesn't recognize any of my empty media, so I have
been attempting to learn to use k3b.

I drag and drop mp3 files to be recorded on a CD
The burn began; said it was recording. At 50% the program simply froze no explanation, no bug report no error report. It simply stopped all activity. I waited several minutes before canceling. 
I thought I tried installing another k3bk3b2-extracodecs and tried it again exactly the same result. (I'm not 100% sure that I added this file later- I thought I did.)
