Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu
better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't
include enough information and I can't reproduce this problem on my
machine. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs
effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd
be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the
problem.
We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem (be specific),
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
4. the version of Ubuntu that you are using (type "lsb_release -rd" in to a terminal)
5. Whether you have Overburn enabled (type "gconftool-2 --get /apps/nautilus-cd-burner/overburn" in a terminal)
I've tried burning an oversize ISO image (Ubuntu Intrepid daily image -
765.1MB) to a 700MB CD-R by double-clicking on the ISO file in Nautilus.
This brings up the 'Write to Disc' window. When I click 'Write', the
disc ejects immediately and an error dialog appears telling me that the
files do not fit on the CD. The only way I can recreate your problem is
by enabling overburn in GConf, which is not part of the default
configuration.
