Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: brasero
OS: Xubuntu 8.04.1
HW: FIC ION A603 with Addonics external CD/DVD RW
Application: Brasero 0.8.1-0ubuntu1 backported from INTREPID
To Reproduce:
1. Insert a CD with valid contents
2. Note: on CD insert, Thunar mounts the CD and displays its contents (this is the wanted behavior as configured in Thunar VolMan)
3. Launch Brasero
4. Choose Disc-Copy
5. Click 'Copy' on CD/DVD Copy Options Panel
6. Note: Brasero reports that it does not have permissions to access CD
See attached Brasero log
To Solve:
1. MANUALLY unmount the CD: go to a terminal, type 'umount /media/<devicename>'
2. Re-launch Brasero
3. Perform copy
4. NOTE: Copy succeeds
Clearly Brasero should be unmounting the CD prior to attempting to gain
an exclusive lock.
Both gnome-mount and exo-mount programs are available on the system
** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
