Description: I noticed today, when I was dumping a DVD, that a movie playing on Totem had muted. Checked with VLC and that too was silenced. I fiddled with the volume controls, even restarted ALSA and PulseAudio to no avail. Suddenly, when Brasero finished, sound went back online. Maybe a locking issue? The operation was a simple unprotected video DVD dump, bit-for-bit, nothing to do with audio, so this was a creepy windows-like blackout.
