[Bug 66710] Re: cdrecord, power calibration area error -> timeout, fails to blank cd-rw

The first media was an unknown 2-4x CD-RW, the second a low quality high
speed medium.

This definitely cannot be a problem from cdrecord as the drive clearly complains
about not being able to do OPC.

The report does not mention DVDs and the modified cdrecord variant used for the 
report does not support to write DVDs.

If you like to write DVDs, please upgrage to a recent cdrecord version
from gutsy/multiverse.

Just a note: This drive is a Matsushita. Unless you bought a Toshiba notebook with a
Matsishita drive, is makes no sense to complain to Toshiba.


We should close the bug as it is related to the drive/media combination.
