[Bug 114122] Burner not working in 7,04

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

7.04 does not seem to recognize my cd/dvd burner as a burner.  It works
fine as a reader but it won't burn.  I have attempted to get help with
this on the forums (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=434443) but
no one seems to have any suggestions.  There is another user reporting
the same issue.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I am new to
Linux..

Anyway, I ran "sudo hdparm /dev/hdc" in a terminal session and got this
result:

/dev/hdc:
IO_support = 0 (default 16-bit)
unmaskirq = 0 (off)
using_dma = 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)
HDIO_GETGEO failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device


I also did "/usr/lib/nautilus-cd-burner/list_cddrives" with the following result:
