I am also getting this problem with DVD+Rs. k3b brings up a dialog
saying "Found media: DVD+R (empty). Please insert an empty or
appendable DVD±R into drive _NEC DVD_RW ND-3550A (/dev/hdc)". I notice
that both I Sputnik have NEC drives.
It works fine when I click "force", but that then mutes other errors
such as a lack of disk space causing the last 10% of every disk I've
written for weeks to be blank :(
Occasionally it works fine without the erroneous dialogue box for no
apparent reason. I've had the same stack of 100 DVD+Rs on the go for
ages.
I'm using normal Edgy (not Kubuntu), and k3b reports that I'm on K
version 3.5.5.
I've attached a capture of the dialogue box, in case that's useful.
